Buttermilk Mountain is well known for being a great family ski mountain, thanks in part to it’s gentle trails and wide open runs. It’s also famous for being the home to the ESPN Winter X Games and it’s world-famous snowboard superpipe and terrain park. There are also great cross-country ski trails that are groomed throughout the neighborhood.

Many of the residential neighborhoods around Buttermilk provide direct access to the ski-out Nordic trials such as Eagle Pines and Owl Creek. You can also find large equestrian estate homes on larger lots. Buttermilk is within three miles of Aspen.
